Naming the business after their family name, which coincidentally can also translate to 'eye,' the logo and art direction revolve around lots of eyes and funny characters. They dream for the café to be not just a usual hangout place but a home for creative folks in Naga City, channeling bold, playful, and vibrant elements for the brand and its future.

Viva La Manika

Established in 2011, Viva La Manika has built a substantial audience and garnered credibility for its creativity and uniqueness. In 2019, the founders decided to give their brand a facelift. One of the co-owners, Sofia Cope, tasked me with designing it, as there was no settled identity to associate with the brand. I delved into their history and learned how the brand had evolved over the years. Using custom illustrations, I sought to encapsulate Viva La Manika at its core—elegance, grace, and quiet confidence.
